About Yoga Friends
I created Yoga Friends to share the calming, kind and accessible practice of yoga within existing communities. In addition to learning specific yoga poses, sequences and styles, students will be introduced to breath work and mediation to help build self-awareness.
I have been practicing yoga since 2002 and in 2021 I realized a long-awaited dream of completing an in-person, 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program at Yandara Institute in Baja, Mexico. Prior to that training, I completed an online 200-hour YTT course, earned a certificate in meditation, and participated in a restorative yoga continuing education workshop. I am a licensed, insured teacher registered with the Yoga Alliance.
I am lucky enough to count my beautiful daughter Skyler (pictured to my left) as my very first student. She and I took our first yoga class together in 2017 and we continue to practice yoga together as often as possible. Skyler was my original Yoga Friend and I look forward to making friends with you too.
